Many thanks for your informative post. I now feel like I have an idea about how to set my Specialized Allez up for the year ahead!

Re: Activity Versus Diet

In my mind, the best way to lose weight healthily is fitness. Together
with healthy foods it will keep you in good shape and mood. In order to provide
enough nutrition and be able to train more effectively I take NavySeal Formula
by Military Grade. This is a dietary supplement, initially developed for
soldiers. This product is amazing! Herbal compounds make it safe to take, while
unique formula provides perfect strength and endurance. This supplement is good
for everyone, who wants to keep fit.

Re: What’s Your Workout?

I love strength training. It is great for your muscles and for the whole body. To provide enough nutrients for active
workouts I am taking Navy Seal Formula
by Military Grade. I was always opposed to all kinds of chemicals, but
this supplement contains natural compounds, like siberian ginseng extract and
caffeine. Never expected that supplement would provide such a tangible result,
but for me it works perfect. Just pure energy, right before the workout. It
helps me increase my reps and enhance overall endurance and strength.

Re: Project Bike

I wasn't sure that the Shimano 105's on mine were original-- glad to hear it!

Anyone else get honked at on theirs?
All the time, for me. This is my first season commuting and I fervently believed I would hit that "platue" where my body would adapt to all my activities and I would just be super awesome. As you mention, I did see my times getting better, but I still felt BEAT! I may eventually have to spread the frame, but I didn't want to have to deal with aligning the dropouts just yet. I actually need a longer stem as the bike is too small for me! Tradesies? ;)

Re: Project Bike

Hey, I'm in the same boat with the same bike same color, I'm going to spread the frame to accept new wheels, 5mm is doable. Great frame, I need a smaller green neon quill stem to fit me better as the bike is large for me as is. But no doubt it is a great steel frame, and I still pass folks going up hill on featherweight carbon. Good luck.

Re: TechnoGym at the Colorado Center

Thanks for the positive write-up Geoff! Glad your first time at the Colorado Center with the Technogym equipment went well!

We are also happy to hear that you appreciate the IsoControl – this feature definitely helps users to better understand the range of motion needed for various exercises. Plus, it’s always helpful to have the device count the number of repetitions for you!

Best of luck and enjoy your weekend!

Re: Beside the Côte d’Azur

That looks like a blast!

Re: Colorado Center for Health and Wellness

It looks so amazing! I go up and down my stairs as much as possible (it helps the water cooler is downstairs), I do squats or lunges any time I get out of my desk, and I also have a routine of stairs/sit ups/push ups that I do first thing every morning. With this routine as well as the gym, I am hoping to get back into a healthy shape!

Re: The Long Road

Bike commuting was huge for me in terms of exercising daily - since it's time I need to spend either in the car or on the bike, it's not like I had to MAKE time for it. But what really got me going was getting a folding bike. I have a small apartment, and it takes up pretty much no space, but it still rides like a regular bike. So far, so good for me, anyway.

Re: The Long Road

You can do it! I think it will all depend on the situation though. A bicyclist taking the full lane going down Arapahoe road would certainly draw police attention, but taking some room heading up Four Mile Canyon would not be unreasonable.

Thanks for the comment! I also updated the link to the Bicycle Laws page of Denver.gov so you can read over Denver's interpretation.

Re: Take the Lane

Your advice is consistent with every defensive cycling piece I've seen, and it works. But I'd like to discuss one further example: when the lane is too narrow for cars to safely pass you, taking the lane is legal in Colorado.

But I have been told off by a cop for taking the lane in Boulder, and my reading of the law is that they've actually made it illegal here.

What do you think?

http://www.colocode.com/bou... (7-5-4 Bicycle to be Driven to Right.)

Cheers!

Re: The Joy of Running

Great post!
